Nationalpark Summer Card
From 1 May until 31 October, every guest staying at Das Taubenhaus receives the Nationalpark Summer Card free of charge.
This exclusive guest card gives you free or discounted access to more than 60 attractions throughout the region, including museums, cultural sights, natural wonders, recreational facilities, sports venues and a variety of mountain lifts.
The Summer Card also offers excellent mobility. Guests can travel free of charge on public transport and enjoy complimentary access to the famous Großglockner High Alpine Road and the Gerlos Alpine Road.
The Großglockner High Alpine Road is considered one of Europe’s most spectacular mountain roads. Stretching for 48 kilometres with 36 hairpin bends, it climbs to an altitude of 2,571 metres and leads you through the breathtaking scenery of the Hohe Tauern National Park towards Austria’s highest mountain, the Großglockner (3,798 metres). Along the way you will discover alpine meadows, mountain forests, dramatic rock formations and outstanding viewpoints, including the Kaiser Franz Josef Höhe overlooking the impressive Pasterze Glacier.
Another unforgettable excursion is a visit to the Krimml Waterfalls, the highest waterfalls in Europe. Together with the Waterfall Centre, interactive exhibitions and the outdoor water park, they offer a memorable day out for visitors of all ages.
